This year, the UMMB is excited to announce that Band Day 2019 will be held at McGuirk Stadium on November 2nd, 2019, UMass vs. Liberty.

Please note the deadline to purchase tickets via the link is October 31 @ 5pm. The tickets for families/friends/associates of High School Band Day will be in sections 5, 6, 7 so that they have the optimal view of the halftime performance (this is on the UMass sideline).
About Band Day
Each fall, dozens of high school bands join the University of Massachusetts Minuteman Marching Band, the Power and Class of New England, for a day of rehearsal and a thrilling halftime performance.
Not only is this great fun for all participants, it offers high school musicians a glimpse of what it is like performing in front of a college audience.
On Band Day, students will have the opportunity to meet and work with Minuteman Marching Band director Dr. Timothy Anderson and Associate Director Thomas P. Hannum, an internationally recognized leader in the field of marching percussion.
Beginning early in the morning, bands from all across New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania join the Minutemen Band in an intense rehearsal of several musical selections which will be performed four hours later before a crowd of 20,000 fans!
- Students will be provided with a marching band uniform for the occasion.
- They should dress in warm layers underneath. Gloves and hand warmers are also encouraged!
